Pioneer Navi installed into a TJ

Installing a 2 Din head unit in a 1.5 Din dashboard

How about we install a Pioneer AVIC-F900bt into the TJ. Problem is, the 97-06 TJ's have a 1.5 din...that means the 2 din Pioneer will be too tall to fit in the dash.

The 2010 King of the Hammers is set for the week of February 9-12, 2010 in Johnson Valley California.  The event crosses the hardest trails So Cal has to offer, "The Hammer Trails".   The organizers have turned this into a multi-day event with the big dance being on Friday.  The sponsors and vendor list have grown significantly in it's third year, making the spectator experience even more enjoyable.

KOH has become the fastest growing motor sport.  Professional wheel-men from other sports are even making the crossover.  Names like Pete Sohren and Shannon Cambell are showing up on the start line.  Who can blame them too?  KOH combines the best of both of their world.  High speed desert assaults with the most technical rock crawling this side of the Mississippi!

100 teams will be battling it out, driving over and around each other.  Some of them from countries like Germany, Australia, and Canada.  But the list isn't 100% complete yet.  The first two days of the week consist of the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).  This is the event to watch.  If you can't make it on Friday, try to be there for Tuesday and Wednesday.  A shortened version of the main race, it is the sudden death overtime if you will of the off road world.  There are  slots reserved for the top 21 finishers of the LCQ.  It's desperation at it's best! Rumor has it there might be a night stage of the race?  VisionX lights is the official sponsor and would make for an interesting night.

Hammerking Productions expects about 20,000 people to pass through the week.  Turning Means Dry Lake Bed into a small city.  Complete with it's own bartering system.  (You can hock some of your firewood for a six-pack of beer!)

FFO will be attending KOH this year.  If you see one of us, come say "Hi" and grab a free sticker!  Stay tuned for photos and videos from the whole week.
