I will have a 14" diameter grill that doubles as a gas fire pit for the evening. It fire-ban safe, so with our burn permit to run the stoves and lanterns we should be good.

my friend in fresno is going to courtwright lake fishing and is going to look at the parking lot. the ranger said it is big enough for trucks and trailers. he was also going to look at hotels in fresno to see which ones have enough parking. the trail is two hours from there.

spoke to Judy at vacation rental place. She gave me two properties on shaver lake that we can use that have big driveways and street parking that wont make anybody mad.
Here they are:
Ansol. sleeps 10. Large circular driveway address is 41803 sparrow dr.
If we have 8 people paying it would be 160.00 each.
www.shaverlake.com/rentals/properties/Ansol-Cabin/
Creekside Cabin will be 200 for 8 people.
www.shaverlake.com/rentals/properties/Creekside-Retreat/
This would be my preferred way to do it since so close to trail-head and not street legal yet for my rig
If we decide to do this would need final head count soon.
I would be willing to put it on my card and collect from y'all as necessary

If my understanding is correct.
Chris Mokwat - Truck/Trailer - 2 people
Raab Mokwat - Truck/Trailer - 2 people
Luis - Probably Truck/Trailer - Probably 2 people (strong maybe, pending finishing my pile of shit)
Steve la rue - Jeep only - 2 people
Other guy 1 - Jeep only- 1-2 people
Other guy 2 - Jeep only - 1-2 people
Other guy 3 - Jeep only - 1-2 people
Other guy 4 - Jeep only - 1-2 people (maybe not going)
Totals:
3 - truck/trailers
8 - Individual jeeps, 5 driving separately
12 - Confirmed as going, as high as 16 could need sleeping arrangements
Since i am a strong maybe, I am OK with anything that is planned. If worst case there is no room for me, Ill sleep outside. How bad could it be....?
Also, Chris to your comment about my rig, ill be on 37s, ARBs F&R, Wontons, winch, tow points, etc. etc. Should hopefully be ok. Hoping to find a place to do a 4 wheel burnout and break in the new kevlars with the 450hp i just "found".

Thursday - either leave super early or around 10AM (for me)
Thursday afternoon - arrive in Shaver Lake (see hotel option below)
Thursday night - happy hour, eat enjoy last hot shower.
Friday morning - top off on gas and head to trailhead.. timing TBD.
Friday - wheel
Saturday - wheel
Sunday - wheel and return shaver lake end of day, happy hour, get trucks and trailer and load rigs (TBD, see below)
Monday - wake up super fricken early to avoid traffic and head home...
Gas
Last gas we need to fill up in Shaver Lake.
Shaver to courtright (trail head) is 35 miles
Dusy trail is 35 miles in total (lots of idle time of course)
Kaisser Pass (trail end) back to Shaver Lake gas station is 30 miles
Total is 100 miles, most guys are saying they bring extra 5 gallons of gas..
I am targeting to bring an extra 10 gallons (2 five gallon jugs)
Trailer storage
In the link above a guy said we can keep trailers/tow rigs at marina for $17 a night.
Sierra Marina at Shaver Lake
(559) 841-3324
www.yelp.com/biz/sierra-marina-inc-shaver-lake
This seems like best location since once were done with trail we will be driving right back into Shaver Lake (again like 30 miles or so from end of trail)
Hotel
In Shaver found this gem... as of now for Thursday night there are plenty of room options to choose from,
65->180 or so for the night.
www.yelp.com/biz/shaver-lake-village-hotel-shaver-lake
Outstanding items for logistics..
Parking available at hotel for rigs/trailers etc or do we need to go straight to marina and unload day of arrival
Can we drop/get truck and trailer at Marina when closed?
Sunday night pickup trucks and trailers after trail and take the truck/trailer to hotel? (not sure of parking lot space)
Where are we camping along the dusy trail?
Do we plan on fishing?
Ryan, did you see these options above too? Either Ryan or I will put a CC down for a cabin if we go that route (so far that seems best)
Where you able to find out about the marina late parking pick up rob?
I'm bringing a fishing pole for sure...dont know about camping spots but im thinking there's some good spots that will be obvious when we get to them?
Adding Chainsaw to my list of items...ive read in a few places about downed trees being an issue sometimes. If anybody know different then I will leave it at home to save space and weight

Accommodations and head/jeep count update as of 8/1/2016:
