I am out. I think I got left off the list anyway.

My jeep will probably be done, but I don't want this stupid hard trail to be its test run and ruin the trip for the rest if something happens.

you weren't left off intentionally I just forgot. last week my thoughts were to wait and see what your progress was on the hooptie and you'd let me know....we can always make room for 1 more...might bring my camper up and park it in the driveway of the cabin if we need to....hell pitch a tent on the back deck of the house too lol

Nah, don't worry man. It seems like this trail ride grew rather quickly. Probably won't ever get to do Dusy since we'll be gone next year by the time it opens again.

My jeep will probably done, but not ideal to use that as a shake down run and hold up 12+ people if something were to go wrong.

Ryan is securing the cabin today.
Raab is checking on extra trailer drop parking at the marina.
Steve is checking on hotel rooms for his crew.

Thats my understanding of our situation at this moment between all of us :silly:

Ok Dusy Ershim'rs, final logistics being updated. I'm getting excited. After some texts, phone calls, forum posts, and some local insider info...I think we have a concrete plan.

Thursday - We all need to arrive at the Maxon Campground trailhead parking lot . A large area for all of us to primitive came (but no campfires allowed).

If possible we will check out the actual campground for avail spots so we can have a campfire and such.
After we group up, those with non-street-legal jeeps (3 to 4 of us) need to trailer drop at the Maxon parking lot and drive our trucks/trailers to the Parking lot near the end of our trail . It is located near Badger Flats Campground and Kaiser Pass Rd. I think this is it on the map....if someone has an exact location let me know.

After dropping trailers/trucks off at trail's end. those with street legal vehicles will give us DMV dodgers a ride back to Maxon trailhead parking lot.

Friday - Pack up camp and kick off our epic adventure.

Saturday - uhh, more adventures...probably repairing some kind of carnage on my jeep.

Sunday - adventure continues and hopefully we are making good time ;) and reach the north end of the trail exit in time to load up our junk at the Badger Flats parking area and truck it down to Fresno for some dinner, a large alcohol-infused belly wash, clean bed, and probably one of the best showers you ever had.

Monday - High fives, goodbyes, and talk of our next trip back some day.

ya portrait oriented videos on phones hate the video uploader on this side....always ends up sideways and I cant figure out why.

Anyways...its uploaded but you have to turn your head like Timmmayyy to view it.

Getting close now!
Chainsaw and fuel cell mounts on board and starting to think about food to pack. Is everybody bringing their own little personal stoves/burners and such?

Also, I have VHF and CB...speak up if you have a preferred channel. I will be on FFO's 151.465 and CB channel 15. Just wanted to put that out there before we go in case of shitty cell phone service or something.

Was sent a good video of the trail. It should help get you excited.
It looks more difficult compared to most other videos I have seen..

Alrighty...nice video for sure...cant wait to do this.
Successfully added all pertinent waypoints and trails to the Lowrance GPS.

Shall we discuss a daily gameplan? Make somebody in charge of where we want to make it to everyday so we have good camping spots?

Wanted to post the camp fire thing that Ryan is bringing. Permits are required for open burns but this is Forest Service legal or something like that.

Also, introducing the other 3 vehicles joining us from Utah:
Justin

Doug

Dwayne
